I love the "Yes, Virginia" article, an editor's response to an 8 year old's question: Is there a Santa Claus? To me, it's the perfect answer, even over 100 years after it was written. I got so excited a couple of years ago when Macy's featured it as part of their Christmas campaign, with celebrities like Jessica Simpson and even Donald Trump reciting the lines. So, I really wanted to print a copy of the original article, but there weren't any that were good enough quality so I made my own and put it in a frame for the holidays. Feel free to print or use for your blog/computer.

Here is an original clipping of the article, taken from wikipedia:

  1. Another thanks! My little boy, 9, is now not beleiving in Santa (ok he knows it's me and his dad) but I want him to beleive in the spirit of Santa. Will be reading this to him tonight at dinner and will frame and display as part of my Christmas decorating!

You are so kind to share these printables, esspecially with us moms who have no time to create things like this!

    Have a great weekend!

(If I get the time I will try to add a post/link back here on my tiny blog)

  6. I found your blog while browsing tonight and "Yes, Virginia..." caught my eye. Now
almost 63 years old, I very fondly remember an evening of visiting Santa in a small town in Missouri. When Santa asked me, then 13-yr old, what I wanted for Christmas, I told him that I don't believe in Santa, that we were there for my little sister. He asked my daddy for our address and told me that he would show me that Santa lives. This beautiful Santa sent me, handwritten, this wonderful treasure. And treasure it I do. It is framed for Christmas. A wonderful memory for me. Of course I KNOW that Santa lives. Merry Christmas! Don't forget the milk and cookies!
